iHeartMedia Albany’s 99.5 The River is proud to announce the return of “Pay Less for the Dress,” an opportunity for area teens to have an affordable prom. The one-night event will take place Friday, March 8th, at Key Hall at Proctors from 4-9pm.
“Pay Less for the Dress” offers hundreds of gently used and new dresses donated by the community sold for $9.95 each. During each hour time slot, we welcome you and your family to browse our extensive catalog of gently used prom dresses to find that perfect dress for your special night. Maximum three dresses per person. Space is limited. $10 Ticket will be required to enter the venue (one ticket per person).
“Pay Less for the Dress” is sponsored by CDPHP and supported by Best Cleaners, which handles the dress cleaning and delivery. Proceeds from the evening will benefit both the Proctor’s Scholarship Fund and the Center for Disability Services.

“Pay Less for the Dress” has been an annual event for 99.5 The River since 2015. The event went on hiatus in 2020 due to the pandemic. Other past recipients of funds raised have included the Bernard and Millie Duker Children’s Hospital at Albany Med and Big Brother Big Sisters.
